If you support BLM, you already support Free Palestine. Here’s why.
Americans, remember when riots broke out in our beloved country during a pandemic after one black man named George Floyd was suffocated to death by a police officer? The grief among people was excruciating for the outright racism that was displayed. And it is understandable that there was an outrage. The people took on streets and social media to ask for justice for the man and end the police brutality and the alleged systemic racism that is believed to be a part of America and hence Black Lives Matter movement was born.
Regardless of where you are on the political spectrum and irrespective of whether you agree with the movement all of us can agree as a fact that this is what happened in our country and I think most reasonable people will also agree those four police man have to be tried and sentenced justly according to the law and fortunately that happened. I say fortunately because this is what happens every single day with far greater intensity and frequency in some part of the world which your tax dollars are used to finance, is diplomatically protected in all forums like UN and armed to the teeth by your government for decades. And there the law cannot touch these people.
If you wanna see what fully realized systemic racism you are fighting so dearly in your own fatherland looks like? real and everyday Police Brutality looks like? wanna look at a place where a terms like microaggression is laughable because they are way beyond such nuances because Its an all out apartheid? Look at the government, the judiciary, the military and the police of Israel. Systemic racism in America could be debatable according to some of the right-wings, but it is an everyday fact in Israel and the occupied west bank.
For every George Floyd suffocated, tens of teens like Amer Abdal Rahim fixing friends car are beaten and choked to death. For a schizophrenic Kayla Moore who is poorly treated by the police resulting in her death, Israeli police deliberately shoots people with disabilities like Iyad Halaq with low functioning autism. For a father of 3 month old child Eric Garner saying, “I can’t breathe”, an Ahmad Erakat who was going to attend his sister’s wedding that night, was shot and bled to death in the middle of the street allowing no bystander to help. The worst part the reasons for their death are so puny and the police never ever gets indicted with anything because “shoot to kill” is their official policy. You can read the tragic stories by unbiased sources of these people and when you do, you will feel the same pain you feel for Palestinians that you feel for your fellow African American brothers, because the root of this evil is the same, Racism.
What is your Responsibility?
What is the role of American people in all of this? because all of you have fought against Police Brutality and systemic racism, right of Palestinians and rights of black people are one and the same thing. The bigger reason? Because Israeli government is never held accountable internationally because of unconditional support of your own government.
Let me ask you if you an were an adult looking at one kid physically and mentally bullying the other and you were giving him money for it, handing him a stick and if other people are coming to the rescue and you stop them from saving him and lie to their face that tall fat kid is defending himself from the weak scrawny kid who is blindly trying to hit back to get out of this misery and getting pounded into the ground in front of every soul by the sticks you keep handing to him
Who is more responsible for the bullied kid not being saved? The bully or you? The bully is only swinging the stick. You are doing everything else to make sure he keeps getting away with it. In a mafia, the don is more responsible than the soldier even though he has never undertaken a job. American government is the don and Israel government the soldier. You think the evil your soldiers are doing to others to benefit you outside your borders, you are protected from it inside? You are not and the recent situation in your soil is proof of that.

Israel is a professional victim enjoying international status of protection from its crimes. Anyone who criticizes is labeled anti-Semitic and bullied into silence. They show strength when talking to Arabs and Israelis in Hebrew and Arabic and as soon as they speak English, they are the weakest, most vulnerable nation in constant threat of annihilation from violent terrorists whose weapon of choice is stones in west bank and home-made rockets in Gaza that are easy to intercept. On the other side is a cutting-edge military technology like F-35 airstrikes, drone surveillance, modern artillery and nuclear weapons, A police with all the protection gear and arms against to harass, terrorize and demean occupied Palestinians. In conclusion, you have been lied to about Israel by your media and today when anyone with a smartphone can document any event and share it online. The truth is coming out and the tide is shifting. Americans aren’t sheep anymore. They now can know the truth, they now have a mind and a voice of their own. No one can bully them into silence no more. Join hands for Palestine the same way you did for BLM. Because in solidarity with Palestinians is the survival of humanity and justice for all inside and outside our borders.
